What is the name of the texas department that is over regulation of gas pumps?

What state department that is supposed to check to see if the gas pumps are in working order and everything is right with them. A gas pump charged 55 dollars off my credit card when it told it wouldnt read the card.

It’s actually the department of Agriculture. Go figure that one!

  1. Department of Agriculture is responsible for making sure that the pumps give out the correct amount of product as measured on screen, but I don’t know if they get involved with disputes about the credit card machine attached to it.

  3. I would say that’s a police case. Anything dealing with state department for a gas pump has to be about how accurate the pump is. I would just tell the bank you contest the charge, not to pay it.

    But, P.S. if it was a debit card. Many merchants won’t take debit cards any longer because the bank charges … you guessed it … 55 cents.
