What is the name of the person at the department store who rings up your purchase?
You are at a department store like Sears, looking at some clothes or something like that, and a person comes up and asks you if you need any help, then takes you over to the point of purchase and rings up your oder. What is the name of this person’s job?
in most retail stores like that the person would be called an associate (or sales associate), but some retailers have their own names for the position (csr, service associate, sales representative, etc). if it is in a grocery store and ringing up the purchase is all they do, then it’s a cashier.
