I go to the salon to get blonde highlights in my hair but it is just so expensive to get done all the time. I would like to be able to just do an all over color of a light blonde but when i tried a department store brand the most it would lift to was and orange color. I want to be able to buy a cheaper one at the store. Has anyone had any luck with that? My hair is a light/medium brown

Get Garnier Frutis (sp)
I used to use it all the time. And get the lightest one there is.. Keep it on for long enough so it goes thru its stages. You might have to do it twice with any department store brands cuz it might not come out the lightest you want at first.
