Well, unfortunately, your age is a problem. I don't know age requirements state to state, but some walmarts will not hire you if you are under 18. The walmart I work at does hire under 18, but they are usually cart pushers (stockman) and they usually are 17. Associates under 18 cannot operate different equipment, such as the cardboard baler and pallet jacks (so they cannot be on ICS) or any equipment using a blade or heat (so you cannot work in the bakery, deli, or meat counter). You won't be able to be a cashier because most walmarts do sell alcohol and cigarrettes. You'd think that you could work on the sales floor, like I currently do, but you do have to use the baler and pallet jacks. You can work your way over to the sales floor, but because of your age and restrictions, it will take time.

The best time to apply would be about a month before their peak seasons, i.e Christmas and Summer. Part time associates will get fewer hours January-March, mattering the retail forecast, so don't count on getting hired then, though some people have before. It does take walmart some time to get back to you. Sometimes its within a week, sometimes you don't hear from them for a couple months. Again, it matters when you applied and how many people they are hiring at a time because they only put 5-6 new associates through orientation at a time.

All I can say is good luck. I would call the walmart you are applying to and ask for Personnel, they can tell you whether or not they will consider hiring you.
References :
actually the legal age for working is 16 though some states may have the exception.if you just put that you want electronics..and they have no openings then youre going to get passed by the best thing to do is put in for all the depts. and open your availibility as much as you can (within the law for your age of course) we dont always work in the same dept though mostly we do...for instance my dept is pets i could be working toys tomorrow if they need help or run a register. if you get called for an interview main thing is dress nice (slacks and a nice shirt for example) and be on time...i dont how many people i refused to interview because they didnt bother showing up on time and never called to say they are going to be late. dont worry about training they will train you. you will have to learn some knowledge on tvs, and other electronics. the interview is pretty basic you just need to fall back on some past experiences to pass it, it can be a job, school, club whatever an example would be - give me an example of when you had to work with a group of people to get a project done, what did you do to get it done on time, what would you have to done better the next time...well of course youve worked on class projects with a partner(s) at some give time ? thats just an example on one question...hope this helps
References :
walmart associate

at age 15, I think you need to get a work permit card. Then go apply. Good luck.
