How do I get my product into department stores?

I have an Idea for a product (clothing). I want to know how to get it into clothing stores like Saks Fifth Ave, Bloomingdale’s, Macy’s etc..I formed a company and I am in the process of getting trademarks and patents. How do I get into these department stores? Do I need to hire a firm to get me in? What is the next step?

All you have to do is call their corporate headquarters and ask for the buyer for the department that will handle your merchandise. You will wind up speaking to either the buyer or a buyer’s assistant.

If your goods are in the stores price range you shouldn’t have any problems getting an appointment to show them your goods.

If your goods aren’t in their price range you are calling on the wrong stores.

Remember buyers get paid to buy goods that will sell in the store so they are willing to see anyone with goods to sell that may meet their needs.

Hope this helps
